We’ve Just Passed 100,000 Views: Thank You!

Hello Friends,

We’ve just passed 100,000 views, and we’d like to thank all of you for being part of our community. When we started Political Loudmouth, we would never have dreamed that our work would appear on MoveOn.org, Forbes.com, Daily Kos, thousands of blogs, and many other media outlets of all political persuasions. And we would have laughed at the idea that we would be drafted to help with real political campaigns.

But all this happened, and so much of this has been driven by our conversations with members of the PL community. Thank you so much, for sharing your ideas, your connections, and your friendship. You’re the reason we are happy to work on this (volunteer) project every day. : )

New Poster: “Want to Live in a Place Where God’s Law Is Supreme? Move to Somalia.”"

It’s a seductive idea, isn’t? Implement God’s law in the country where you live. And then everyone will have to live the way you—I mean God—thinks they should. The tricky bit comes when other people show up with their God, and their law. And they’re very sure that you should live the way their God says you should. And that doesn’t feel good at all.

If you want to see a really ugly example of a country where the only law that anyone is even trying to implement is God’s law, take a look at Somalia. There’s no government. There’s no structure. And the legal ideas they have come from a 1400-year-old-document, now being enforced by heroin-zonked 28-year-old warlord.

If you live in America, where God’s law is not the law, you should get down on your knees and thank God for that.

GM Stops Funding a Leading Group of Global Warming Deniers

General Motors has pulled support from the Heartland Institute, a Chicago-based nonprofit well known for attacking the science behind global warming and climate change.

The automaker told the Heartland Institute last week that it won’t be making further donations, spokesman Greg Martin said. At a speech earlier this month, GM CEO Dan Akerson said his company is running its business under the assumption that climate change is real.

We welcome GM to the “reality-based” community.  : )

Carbonite Folds!

Latest Rush news. Carbonite is dropping the Limbaugh show. A day or two ago, the Carbonite CEO did a kind of partial apology with a “I will meet with Rush” thingy, and I guess he got hammered for it, cuz he has changed his tune.

“No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady.”
