New Poster: “Union-Busting is Un-American.”

As we celebrate Labor Day, it’s worth remembering that our nation was built by small freeholders opting out of a society ruled over by an entrenched aristocracy. Why would we now want to recreate the kind of culture where a few wealthy fats cats lord it over a population of helpless serfs?

Any construction we can put together that helps counter-balance the power of extreme wealth is a good thing. Unions are one of the ways that we, the people, can flex our muscle in the face of bullying by those who inherit great wealth and spend their lives resting on the backs of those who work for a living.

New Poster: “Hermanas! Join the Fight Against the War on Workers.”"

The war on workers, funded by right-wing elites, rolls on. The more people who join in the fight against it, the more successful we will be. So, come, workers of all kinds, from far and wide. We need you!

New Poster: “Union Busting is Un-American: Boycott Del Monte.”

We made this poster because the International Longshoremen’s Association asked us for a little help, as Del Monte is taking advantage of the current wave of union-busting to launch an attack on their union as well.

Nationwide “We Are One” Rallies on Monday: Be There or Be Square!

Today, the rights of working people are under attack as never before. Join us to make Monday, April 4, 2011, and the days surrounding it, a day to stand in solidarity with working people in Wisconsin and dozens of other states where right-wing politicos are trying to execute their cheap labor agenda.

This day is the anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, who gave his life while working to help the people in the face of powerful, entrenched interests. Rallying to support working folks is a great way to commemorate Dr. King’s life and work.
There are over 1,000 events planned so far. Click here to find events near you!

Wallet Card Version: Boykott Koch Krap

Here’s a wallet-sized version of the “Boykott Koch Krap” poster. Of course, the Koch brothers manufacture many products, including those used by other manufacturers, but let’s start with what’s easy and move on from there. They may be jillionaires, but that doesn’t mean we have to take their krap!

Thanks to PL reader Chuck Lasker for this idea.

Let the Recalls Begin!

Recalls, or even a credible threat of one, can often be a very effective weapon in making the opposition back down. Everything changes when an attacker suddenly finds themselves on defense.
